New Technology

YIKES! I am being drug kickin' and screamin' into using technology more. I rarely am able to go to a library to use the computer, so in order to be able to post to the blog more often, I have set it up to be able to update it through text messages from my cell phone. I now have the email address also so I can email from my phone posts. My hope is that this will make it easier for me to send updates more often.

We are doing well. The cold weather has been a challenge, but we are doing good. Abigail is preschooling at home. She asks me most days if she can "do school" with me. She is currently learning to write her letters and numbers. Micah is making great progress. In September, he could only do baby-babbling and was not saying words. Working on his speech daily, he is now able to say about 7 words. He is still having to learn to make connections between some of the words and their meaning, but the progress is being made. He is also looking at people in the eyes and maintaining eye contact.

I started my sweet potatoes soaking in water to grow the slips for spring planting. I am looking forward to getting the garden going. It will be nice to go out to the garden to gather salad greens and such for our meals.

I'm sure you are quite busy, but I was wondering if you could share your start dates for the seeds that you start, or perhaps a website. I'm in Oklahoma too, which I'm sure you remember, but I have no idea when to start anything. Glad to hear you will be posting more, praying you all are staying warm!

Blessings,
sara

I enjoy your posts, so I am always glad to see them...
Another option you have for blog posting is scheduling your posts....so maybe between now and the next time you blog, you can write down updates on a notepad or something...then next time you blog, break it down into two or three posts spread out evenly between the times you go to the library....you can choose when you want things to post by clicking on the Post Options link thing above the post button...and you can choose any day you like.
Looking forward to hearing more...

Fantastic on the eye contact! I know how much that means.

Fill us in on sweet potato planting when you are able. Or any kind of potato planting. We tried potatoes last year, but they didn't do too well.

God bless, Liz

I would love to know more about this sweet potatoes in water thing. Is it the same as we did as kids when we grew potato plants in a canning jar?

Hi Paula, Glad to hear you are all doing well and that Micah has improved greatly and praying he continues to do so. Here in England we are currently undergoing massive snow and ice problems but it will soon thaw no doubt. Take care and I will write soon. God bless. Regards Jan. x
